Dan Parkison grew up in Omaha, Nebraska.
He graduated from Omaha
Technical High School in 1982.
He joined the Navy in 1987 to go to Navy Nuclear Power School as a Machinist Mate.
He is a veteran of Operation Dessert Storm, having served on the USS Nimitz
(CVN-68) and the USS California
(CGN-36)
In 1995 he graduated from
UNK with a Bachelor of Science in Education with teaching endorsements in 7-12 Math and 7-12 Science.
He taught Math and Science at Millard North High School from 1995-2000.
From 2000 to 2005, he worked as a web developer for
Educational Service Unit # 3, providing webpage development for 18 different school districts in the Omaha Metro area.
From 2005 to 2010, he worked as a web developer for Bellevue Public Schools.
From 2010 to present, he teaches computer science at Bellevue West High School.
Hobbies:Passionate about woodworking, landscaping, community service and Duolingo.
